After taking down the ball on FC Philotimo's corner Justavino Cortez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mauro Ciceron quite easily take care of the ball. Mauro Ciceron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Quiñónez Louzara came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by deportivo madrid's Rodolfo Pero. But to his dismay, Rodolfo Pero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, FC Philotimo's Alberto Torrens got a free kick in the 30th minute. 38 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Pero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Quiñónez Louzara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Ganix in the 47th minute of play forced FC Philotimo's goalkeeper Quiñónez Louzara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Justavino Cortez was the one to do the kick off. deportivo madrid's Wilfredo Madrid was substituted for Fausto Ganix. deportivo madrid's Prospero Domenec was substituted for Rodolfo Pero. With a little luck, FC Philotimo's Quiñónez Louzara got control of the ball when Wilfredo Madrid tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match, Wilfredo Madrid tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Quiñónez Louzara saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 90th match minute, FC Philotimo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Lloret to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Philotimo booed when deportivo madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Laurgain didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Madrid recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Quiñónez Louzara. Wilfredo Madrid showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5.
