In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Crimson Knights's goalkeeper Jimeno Guillerme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tostão Aguiar's late challenge caught a Inter de Guayaquil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tostão Aguiar helped the player get up and apologised. Tostão Aguiar hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. When Blanco Lambarida came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Inter de Guayaquil FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blanco Lambarida couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute Robt Sanford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zuriko Lagala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Jayden Mcgirr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xusto Vada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Zuriko Lagala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mei Yu Zhen in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to Inter de Guayaquil FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Juan-Carlos Alamon hit a great ball. If Bai Xiang Xiao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 40th minute Frankie Carnes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zuriko Lagala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Inter de Guayaquil FC booed when Crimson Knights was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bai Xiang Xiao didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Inter de Guayaquil FC's Nereo Florian was substituted for Diego Di Maria. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robt Sanford made a kick off. After 54 minutes of play Crimson Knights's Tostão Aguiar was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 55th minute, Tostão Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zuriko Lagala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwardo Perreault in the 57th minute of the match. 3-0 became the score in the 65th minute when Vicente Depino elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vera Castro during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Crimson Knights booed when Inter de Guayaquil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vera Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blanco Lambarida kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robt Sanford during the 79th minute. After 83 minutes, Xurde Argoños mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter de Guayaquil FC and the Crimson Knights players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blanco Lambarida in the 94th minute of play forced Crimson Knights's goalkeeper Jimeno Guillerme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimeno Guillerme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Depino in the 98th minute of the match.
