Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Apolo Irigoyen kicked off to start the match. General Velásquez's Rolf Holmgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save General Velásquez from getting a goal against them. Martin Švácha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. General Velásquez's Rolf Holmgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save General Velásquez from getting a goal against them. A collision led to ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jonathan Ramírez hit a great ball. Sergio Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Irigoyen in the 18th minute of play. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s attentive Totín De Leon managed to snatch the ball when Ronaldo Guarda made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. In the 32nd minute, Apolo Irigoyen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The General Velásquez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diómedes Rodriguez made a kick off. Rolf Holmgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diómedes Rodriguez in the 53rd minute of play. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Diómedes Rodriguez got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Jonathan Ramírez got a free kick in the 56th minute. 65 minutes into the game, General Velásquez's Apolo Irigoyen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergio Gutierrez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Sergio Gutierrez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Vicente Squella in the 68th minute. The supporters of ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ booed when General Velásquez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Švácha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute of the match José Ramos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolf Holmgren skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Lambis Kostopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Lambis Kostopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
