Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ulizes Sola took the kick off in the first half of the match. Javier Landeras kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Vanadio F.C. were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Astillero del Guayas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Evaristo Gurruchaga took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Evaristo Gurruchaga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Walter Huarte quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Vanadio F.C.'s Osvaldo Peregrin in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Astillero del Guayas's goalie prevented a goal. Walter Huarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osvaldo Peregrin's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 13thth minute of the game Osvaldo Peregrin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Astillero del Guayas's Walter Huarte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ulizes Sola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dani Galiana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's Zarando Eguizabal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Ispuzua narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Walter Huarte made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Osvaldo Peregrin sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Astillero del Guayas's Walter Huarte got control of the ball when Osvaldo Peregrin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Astillero del Guayas's Walter Huarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eden Hazar in the 28th minute of play. Vanadio F.C.'s Osvaldo Peregrin was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 32nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Zarando Eguizabal charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zarando Eguizabal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Zarando Eguizabal hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Osvaldo Peregrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Huarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walter Huarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Peregrin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Pablo-Enrique Oneca. Astillero del Guayas's Walter Huarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Astillero del Guayas from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Peregrin was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Eden Hazar came free, but Walter Huarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Astillero del Guayas's Walter Huarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Antecha in the 55th minute of play. After some careless play in the Astillero del Guayas defense, Osvaldo Peregrin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walter Huarte. The Astillero del Guayas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walter Huarte should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd minute Osvaldo Peregrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Huarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Javier Landeras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vanadio F.C.'s Eden Hazar got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Walter Huarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eden Hazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Javier Landeras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruperto Ufret was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Astillero del Guayas! Walter Huarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osvaldo Peregrin's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. The supporters of Vanadio F.C. booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Landeras didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Peregrin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Walter Huarte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 92 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Peregrin came free, but Walter Huarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vanadio F.C.'s Osvaldo Peregrin got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 94th match minute, Astillero del Guayas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zarando Eguizabal to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Peregrin in the 96th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Walter Huarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eden Hazar kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
