In the 7th minute of the match Miguel Urane shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pascal Avalos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dong Cheng during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dong Cheng kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of S.D. Bajen booed when Buenaventura FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Martinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Buenaventura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brent Cowan came free, but Leonidas Barrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pascal Avalos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Martinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Urane in the 18th minute of play forced S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper Pascal Avalos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascal Avalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Martinez in the 20th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Cheito Brandao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascal Avalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonidas Barrera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brent Cowan in the 33rd minute. Pascal Avalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Martinez in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of S.D. Bajen booed when Buenaventura FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Urane didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute Damian Callahan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonidas Barrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 43 minutes on the clock, Anton Trimble commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of S.D. Bajen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Buenaventura FC:s goal. Pascal Avalos had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Miguel Urane's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the S.D. Bajen defense, Miguel Urane kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pascal Avalos. The S.D. Bajen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pascal Avalos should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After a rather tough play, Buenaventura FC's Ensar Irgatbaşı got a free kick in the 50th minute. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Charlie Bravo put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Leonidas Barrera. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brent Cowan in the 58th minute of play forced Buenaventura FC's goalkeeper Leonidas Barrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charlie Bravo in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonidas Barrera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pascal Avalos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Urane in the 89th minute. In the 92nd match minute, S.D. Bajen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Callahan to maneuver through the defense. When Damian Callahan fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.D. Bajen's protests and gave Damian Callahan a yellow card for diving instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
