When Conrad Carrington in the 6th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Orlando Cordoba kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. C. A. Independiente's Rodney Urbina got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute Conrad Carrington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Cordoba made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Rodney Urbina sent off a good shot on target. SAPRIMECKBEL's Orlando Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrad Carrington in the 14th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Conrad Carrington ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orlando Cordoba was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardo Saborio made a kick off. The SAPRIMECKBEL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orlando Cordoba should have stopped the shot. Orlando Cordoba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Conrad Carrington went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Conrad Carrington scored 8-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orlando Cordoba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the game, C. A. Independiente's Conrad Carrington nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Orlando Cordoba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0.
