After 23 played minutes Lions Of Turks got a freekick which was hit by Namık Hafız. Cengiz Bozbey was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Levent Uçanay. Cahit Ekşioğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mithat Hirfanlı in the 27th minute of the match. Cengiz Bozbey came out and tried to block the shot, but Lev Tolstoy slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 43rd minute. Cengiz Bozbey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aydemir Kutam in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mithat Hirfanlı to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lev Tolstoy in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cengiz Bozbey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Namık Hafız took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cahit Ekşioğlu. Cahit Ekşioğlu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Nihat Candar kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in ZENO's zone, Ozan Bekdil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cahit Ekşioğlu came out of the goal and Ozan Bekdil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, Aydemir Kutam had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cengiz Bozbey. Lions Of Turks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aydemir Kutam was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2.
