The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Alim Akburç fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's protests and gave Alim Akburç a yellow card for diving instead. Alim Akburç hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Sefa Rahmet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zekeriya Özakay in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Navigators's goal looked a bit too open when Kerem Erensoy came free, but Hayati Işık reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Bülent Korkmaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Navigators's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB the free kick. In the 12th match minute, Navigators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bülent Korkmaz to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alphan Çırakoğlu in the 17th minute of play forced 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's goalkeeper Sefa Rahmet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Alphan Çırakoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sefa Rahmet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mert Kerdiğe was the one to do the kick off. Erberk Tayman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayati Işık having to interfere. Navigators's Metin Kurt was substituted for Şükrü Yelesen. Navigators's Zülfü Acunman was substituted for Habib Mennan. In the 62nd minute of the match Navigators got a corner. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Metin Kurt ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Navigators's corner Metin Kurt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sefa Rahmet quite easily take care of the ball. Zekeriya Özakay kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Aşır Yalınalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mert Kerdiğe kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Keramettin Tayfun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sefa Rahmet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zekeriya Özakay in the 81st minute of the match. Keramettin Tayfun charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Keramettin Tayfun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Keramettin Tayfun hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Sefa Rahmet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zekeriya Özakay in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute Zekeriya Özakay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sefa Rahmet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Navigators's goalkeeper Hayati Işık had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erberk Tayman. 89 minutes into the match, Navigators's Metin Kurt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sefa Rahmet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Metin Kurt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Navigators fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 92 minutes into the match, 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's goal looked a bit too open when Zülfü Acunman came free, but Sefa Rahmet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sefa Rahmet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zekeriya Özakay, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Sefa Rahmet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zekeriya Özakay in the 95th minute of play. Navigators's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
