The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Höglunda IK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Flock of Eagles:s goal. Fred Anselius scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Verner Gustavsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 8 minutes into the game, one of Höglunda IK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bernardino Gomez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludvig Vallander, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Bernardino Gomez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludvig Vallander in the 20th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Höglunda IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludvig Vallander to maneuver through the defense. Verner Gustavsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Anselius in the 37th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ludvig Vallander during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Verner Gustavsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fred Anselius showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 40 minute of play. Verner Gustavsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Frank, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 4-0 became the score in the 44th minute when Julian Frank elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Erik Mårtensson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Johannes Bammerman fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flock of Eagles's protests and gave Johannes Bammerman a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Flock of Eagles getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Johannes Bammerman hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Leif Carlsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the game, Gert Skålberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Verner Gustavsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice moves Jan-Erik Mårtensson could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Bernardino Gomez however easily saved by the left post. Verner Gustavsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Frank, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute of the match Mats Jönsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Verner Gustavsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Julian Frank notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Höglunda IK's Verner Gustavsson. Verner Gustavsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Flock of Eagles's Bernardino Gomez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Flock of Eagles from getting a goal against them. After 76 played minutes Höglunda IK got a freekick which was hit by Staffan Björk. Verner Gustavsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Frank went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. 90 minutes into the match, Höglunda IK's goal looked a bit too open when Gert Skålberg came free, but Verner Gustavsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Julian Frank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flock of Eagles's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
