Himna FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nils-Emil Björkdal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 30th minute, Nils-Emil Björkdal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Börge Forss was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Börge Forss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils-Emil Björkdal in the 41st minute of the match. If Bengt-Rune Stabbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

In the 54th minute Mats Brodin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fritz Bållström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Himna FF's goal looked a bit too open when Ove Svensson came free, but Börge Forss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Sannegården BK's Bengt-Rune Stabbe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Hård in the 75th minute of play forced Himna FF's goalkeeper Börge Forss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Börge Forss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Hård, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Nils-Emil Björkdal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Börge Forss. Börge Forss came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Sannegården BK's Bengt-Rune Stabbe. But to his dismay, Bengt-Rune Stabbe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Sannegården BK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
