Gilbert Åkesson took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ove Kullander. Ove Kullander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Joel Landin hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Kent Backman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Landin in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Klas Stenberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kent Backman. The goal made the score 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Kent Backman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Klas Stenberg. After 27 minutes of play, AC Qslig's Klas Stenberg made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kent Backman was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvald Ahlstedt in the 34th minute of play forced AC Qslig's goalkeeper Ove Kullander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stig-Åke Kilman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Landin made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Norrlands Athen got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Magnus Fastesson. In the 66th minute Klas Stenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kent Backman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvald Ahlstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ove Kullander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bengt Håkansson during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
