The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Salkvist in the 3rd minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Kent Backman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Gilbert Åkesson sped through Bibbi Bonkers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bengt Larsson. If Torsten Joensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute Lars-Erik Wall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Larsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 minutes of play, Norrlands Athen's Gilbert Åkesson made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt Larsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rdth minute of the game Gilbert Åkesson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bibbi Bonkers's Bengt Larsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bengt Larsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Åkesson in the 45th minute of the match.

After 67 minutes of play, Norrlands Athen's Gilbert Åkesson made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt Larsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bibbi Bonkers's Torsten Joensson got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lars-Erik Wall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Larsson having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Rune Falkrans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute, Dan Salkvist made a precise shot to the right of Kent Backman. Norrlands Athen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Gilbert Åkesson in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bengt Larsson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 83rd minute, Dan Salkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilbert Åkesson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Bengt Larsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee felt a red card was in order, 92 minutes into the game, when Sixten Rönn put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Norrlands Athen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bibbi Bonkers:s goal. The referee gave Bibbi Bonkers a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bror Josefsson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Norrlands Athen's Kent Backman. 3-3. Bibbi Bonkers succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Norrlands Athen had controlled the match.
