In the 9th minute Sture Ström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Gustafsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Åke Gustafsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sture Ström, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Sture Ström fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Åke Gustafsson, passed just outside the right post. In the 24th minute of the match AC Superstar got a corner. Ghost Hunters's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Harry Hernström ran over to the corner to take the kick. Åke Gustafsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sture Ström in the 26th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dennis Lindkvist during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Ghost Hunters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Lindkvist to maneuver through the defense. After 31 played minutes Ghost Hunters got a freekick which was hit by Gert Håkansson. In the 32nd minute of the match Johnny Bröms sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Åke Gustafsson skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Sture Ström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Åke Gustafsson. That made the score 3-0 in the 38 minute of play. Sven Söderberg hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Ghost Hunters's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Sture Ström scored to the left of an out of position Åke Gustafsson, making the score, 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Hans Törnblom made the kick off in the second half. Åke Gustafsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Törnblom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the game, AC Superstar's Harry Hernström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Åke Gustafsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harry Hernström during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ghost Hunters booed when AC Superstar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Hernström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Åke Gustafsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Bröms, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Charles Johansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Ove Thedin went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. When Sven-Ove Thedin came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Ghost Hunters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Ove Thedin couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sture Ström in the 85th minute of play forced Ghost Hunters's goalkeeper Åke Gustafsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Harry Hernström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Superstar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AC Superstar fully deserved thier win.
