The corner led Nils Liedholm IF's Marc Juhlin to fire away a dangerous shot which Kasper Löfgren despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kasper Löfgren made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Jörgen Bjurström sent off a good shot on target. Sebastian Aspengren's late challenge caught a Nils Liedholm IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Aspengren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Sebastian Aspengren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jörgen Bjurström got free with Kasper Löfgren in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ove Hake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Eriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 minutes of play, Stockholm IF's Andreas Stålberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ove Hake was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Stockholm IF getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Leif Kvick hit a great ball. Marc Juhlin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Kasper Löfgren made a huge save. In the 37th match minute, Nils Liedholm IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Östen Olsson to maneuver through the defense. Kalle Norström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the game, one of Stockholm IF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jörgen Bjurström made a kick off. Kasper Löfgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birger Kleen, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalle Norström in the 57th minute of play forced Stockholm IF's goalkeeper Kasper Löfgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils Liedholm IF's Ove Hake proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Nils Liedholm IF from getting a goal against them. Ove Hake dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Nils Liedholm IF's Einar Borre got a free kick in the 89th minute. Andreas Stålberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Ove Hake made a huge save. Einar Borre hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Sebastian Aspengren hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Although Nils Liedholm IF had been in control for most of the match, Stockholm IF still came away with the win.
