After a rather tough play, AC Mayonnaise's Stig-Arne Ödman got a free kick in the 4th minute. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Stig-Arne Ödman took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ove Hake to make any attempt to save it. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC Mayonnaise's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marc Juhlin was slow to take the kick. During this time Nils Liedholm IF's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Nils Liedholm IF's corner Marc Juhlin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Valdemar Jönsson quite easily take care of the ball. Harry Wennerquist hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Kalle Norström scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdemar Jönsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Nils Liedholm IF getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Zebastian Österlund hit a great ball. After 32 played minutes AC Mayonnaise got a freekick which was hit by Alfons Sundberg. In the 34th minute, Birger Kleen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ove Hake made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Holmberg in the 35th minute. Valdemar Jönsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörgen Bjurström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AC Mayonnaise's Valdemar Jönsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Kleen in the 44th minute of play. After 47 minutes, Harry Wennerquist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nils Liedholm IF and the AC Mayonnaise players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfons Sundberg made a kick off. Zebastian Österlund hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. If Jörgen Bjurström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Kalle Norström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Jönsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalle Norström in the 61st minute of play forced AC Mayonnaise's goalkeeper Valdemar Jönsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Holmberg struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Ove Hake didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Mayonnaise. In the 74th match minute, Nils Liedholm IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Wennerquist to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the game, AC Mayonnaise's Stig-Arne Ödman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ove Hake made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Valdemar Jönsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Birger Kleen in the 86th minute. AC Mayonnaise's Valdemar Jönsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kalle Norström in the 92nd minute of play. After some careless play in the AC Mayonnaise defense, Birger Kleen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdemar Jönsson. The AC Mayonnaise fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdemar Jönsson should have stopped the shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
