The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfons Sundberg got free with Marcus Nordin in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AC Mayonnaise's Johannes Häll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Jansson in the 5th minute of play. Johannes Häll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Åke Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 12 minutes into the match, AC Mayonnaise's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Jansson came free, but Johannes Häll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Överås BK's zone, Alfons Sundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Nordin came out of the goal and Alfons Sundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the AC Mayonnaise defense, Stig-Åke Jansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johannes Häll. The AC Mayonnaise fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johannes Häll should have stopped the shot. Johannes Häll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Åke Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Marcus Nordin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfons Sundberg in the 33rd minute of the match. After 34 minutes, Stig-Åke Jansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Överås BK and the AC Mayonnaise players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Överås BK's Stig-Åke Jansson got a free kick in the 34th minute. With an all-out effort, AC Mayonnaise's Marcus Nordin threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfred Pettersson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Stig-Arne Ödman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 played minutes Överås BK got a freekick which was hit by Ronny Nilsson. Alfred Pettersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfons Sundberg was the one to do the kick off. Stig-Åke Jansson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Överås BK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Johannes Häll didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. The referee showed Herman Forsman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 68 played minutes AC Mayonnaise got a freekick which was hit by Herman Forsman. Mikael Blomqvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcus Nordin. Överås BK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfons Sundberg in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcus Nordin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexander Pihlwall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Häll having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Överås BK's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Sundberg came free, but Marcus Nordin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, AC Mayonnaise's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Pihlwall came free, but Johannes Häll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
