Patrik Pedersson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kim Trulsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute, Kim Trulsson made a precise shot to the right of Patrik Pedersson. Guldsmedshyttan IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After having played for 18 minutes, Kim Trulsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Stockholm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kim Trulsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Anton Kvarnström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. IFK Stockholm's Anton Kvarnström got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of IFK Stockholm booed when Guldsmedshyttan IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Utter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Anton Kvarnström made a precise shot to the right of Patrik Pedersson. Guldsmedshyttan IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Jan-Ove Vesterberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl-Ove Christoffersson went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kim Trulsson in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrik Pedersson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patrik Pedersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Trulsson in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Kvarnström in the 48th minute of play forced Guldsmedshyttan IK's goalkeeper Patrik Pedersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl-Ove Christoffersson was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Christer Utter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guldsmedshyttan IK and the IFK Stockholm players grew even worse after the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kim Trulsson couldn't finish the play. 64 minutes into the match, Kim Trulsson notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Guldsmedshyttan IK's Patrik Pedersson. Patrik Pedersson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Guldsmedshyttan IK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Anton Kvarnström scored to the left of an out of position Patrik Pedersson, making the score, 1-6. 76 minutes into the game, Batu Artuç was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK Stockholm's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guldsmedshyttan IK the free kick. After 76 played minutes IFK Stockholm got a freekick which was hit by Batu Artuç. Valentin Norberg missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 78 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Jan-Ove Vesterberg right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anton Kvarnström in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrik Pedersson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Guldsmedshyttan IK's Patrik Pedersson got control of the ball when Kim Trulsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Anton Kvarnström came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the IFK Stockholm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Kvarnström couldn't finish the play. Helge Jonasson charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Helge Jonasson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Guldsmedshyttan IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Helge Jonasson to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Patrik Pedersson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Karl-Ove Christoffersson kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Guldsmedshyttan IK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. IFK Stockholm were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
