Anton Kvarnström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Wassenius having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, IFK Stockholm's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Lidman came free, but Jan-Ove Vesterberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of IFK Stockholm booed when Svartvallstjärnens IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Wallgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the IFK Stockholm defense, Hans Lidman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan-Ove Vesterberg. The IFK Stockholm fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan-Ove Vesterberg should have stopped the shot. Birger Wassenius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Kvarnström in the 33rd minute of the match. After 52 played minutes Svartvallstjärnens IF got a freekick which was hit by Hans Lidman. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hans Lidman got free with Jan-Ove Vesterberg in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute, Hans Lidman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan-Ove Vesterberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. IFK Stockholm were furious when Calle Kvick was red carded, 62 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 61 minutes into the game, one of IFK Stockholm:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Jan-Ove Vesterberg, was totally fooled by Svartvallstjärnens IF's Åke Eliasson, who 63 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Birger Wassenius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Åke Martinsson in the 69th minute of the match. With a little luck, IFK Stockholm's Jan-Ove Vesterberg got control of the ball when Hans Lidman tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Svartvallstjärnens IF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
