The Skates's Osvald Albom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gösta Hedkvist in the 6th minute of play. Osvald Albom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 45 played minutes Vejbystrand got a freekick which was hit by Felix Stenquist. After the first half Vejbystrand were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felix Stenquist to make the kick off. The Skates's Osvald Albom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save The Skates from getting a goal against them. Osvald Albom made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Gösta Hedkvist sent off a good shot on target. Felix Stenquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvald Albom having to interfere. Felix Stenquist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvald Albom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Stenquist got free with Osvald Albom in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Gösta Hedkvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Osvald Albom. That made the score 0-3 in the 90 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Gösta Hedkvist took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Osvald Albom to make any attempt to save it. The Vejbystrand supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vejbystrand would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
