The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carl Ekberg's late challenge caught a Stakbröte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carl Ekberg helped the player get up and apologised. Carl Ekberg hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute Jens Alebäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rutger Cane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rutger Cane made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Gilbert Lindman sent off a good shot on target. 8 minutes into the match, Stakbröte's goal looked a bit too open when Nils-Åke Lindberg came free, but Rutger Cane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 played minutes Bora Bora got a freekick which was hit by Jens Alebäck. After having played for 12 minutes, Sixten Lindblom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stakbröte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixten Lindblom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th match minute, Bora Bora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Arne Mårtensson to maneuver through the defense. Ture Nyman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Algot Danielsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Stakbröte were awarded a corner. Felix Bryngelsson went to the cornerflag to take it. Stakbröte's Algot Danielsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ture Nyman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Per-Åke Grönlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ture Nyman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Åke Grönlund in the 23rd minute of play. Carl Ekberg hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the game, Stakbröte's Algot Danielsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ture Nyman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ture Nyman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Algot Danielsson in the 30th minute of the match. Per-Åke Grönlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Stakbröte's Rutger Cane got control of the ball when Gilbert Lindman tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Åke Lindberg in the 35th minute of play forced Stakbröte's goalkeeper Rutger Cane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Stakbröte's goalkeeper Rutger Cane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Magnusson. Gilbert Lindman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rutger Cane having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Gilbert Lindman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rutger Cane. Stakbröte's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilbert Lindman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Kim Ahlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Rutger Cane was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jens Alebäck showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 48 minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilbert Lindman to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Stakbröte getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Felix Bryngelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 minutes, Per-Åke Grönlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stakbröte and the Bora Bora players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bora Bora booed when Stakbröte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Åke Grönlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Per-Åke Grönlund showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 93rd minute, Tor Trillkott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Staffan Westerberg charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Staffan Westerberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Algot Danielsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
