In the 3rd minute, Åke Öman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Tolsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viggo Mellbad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Jonas Kalfhage could shoot a difficult shot in the 10th minute, which Joel Tolsson however easily saved by the left post. In the 11th minute Viggo Mellbad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Tolsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to BK Värdsholmen getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Peder Gernberg hit a great ball. After 14 played minutes BK Värdsholmen got a freekick which was hit by John Eckegren. If Håkan Eklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, BK Värdsholmen's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Bjurström came free, but Joel Tolsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Tolsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viggo Mellbad, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 33 minutes into the match, BK Värdsholmen's goalkeeper Joel Tolsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Olof Hedling. A collision led to Team Rocco getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Leif Billberg hit a great ball. Fredrik Bjurström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Tolsson having to interfere. After 41 minutes, Tage Brodin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BK Värdsholmen and the Team Rocco players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Team Rocco booed when BK Värdsholmen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tage Brodin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fredrik Bjurström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Joel Tolsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jan-Olof Hedling came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Team Rocco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Olof Hedling couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Håkan Eklund's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Christer Kullander skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Joel Tolsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Kalfhage in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Tage Brodin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. BK Värdsholmen's Joel Tolsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Kalfhage in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Team Rocco getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Robin Martinsson hit a great ball. After 69 played minutes BK Värdsholmen got a freekick which was hit by Kent Törnblom. After some careless play in the BK Värdsholmen defense, Jan-Olof Hedling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Tolsson. The BK Värdsholmen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Tolsson should have stopped the shot. 75 minutes into the game, Fredrik Bjurström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Joel Tolsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute, Sven Häger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Eckegren kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Peder Gernberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christer Kullander having to interfere. After a rather tough play, BK Värdsholmen's Kent Törnblom got a free kick in the 89th minute. Team Rocco's Viggo Mellbad got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Team Rocco had played much better football throughout.
