Joel Hake started the match with the kick off. Olov Lilja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Hake in the 3rd minute of the match. Anders Holm's late challenge caught a Boomerang Bombers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anders Holm helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes Fågelmara IK got a freekick which was hit by Anders Holm. In the 16th minute Krister Lundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Sandström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claes Sandström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krister Lundström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Joel Hake notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fågelmara IK's Olov Lilja. Olov Lilja was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Olov Lilja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Oskar Haeger, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Fågelmara IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boomerang Bombers the free kick. Krister Lundström hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anders Holm was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anders Holm in the 63rd minute of play forced Boomerang Bombers's goalkeeper Claes Sandström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fågelmara IK had won after a very even match.
