Kaj Eriksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vännäsby BF. Roy Nordström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Kaj Eriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Roy Nordström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaj Eriksson. NovaStella FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roy Nordström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrik Jelm during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, NovaStella FK's Patrik Jelm got a free kick in the 31st minute. Vykan Clicker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Kaj Eriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Roy Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 48th minute Arne Karlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaj Eriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roy Nordström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sakarias Klack's late challenge caught a NovaStella FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sakarias Klack helped the player get up and apologised. Sakarias Klack hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. NovaStella FK's Kaj Eriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Nordström in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Ingvar Håkansson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Vännäsby BF's Adrian Dalberg. Adrian Dalberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Vännäsby BF's Sakarias Klack in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roy Nordström in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kaj Eriksson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to NovaStella FK getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Felix Söderberg hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, NovaStella FK's Anton Bergren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adrian Dalberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arne Karlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Kaj Eriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 played minutes Vännäsby BF got a freekick which was hit by Viktor Olsson. The crowd rose to their feet as NovaStella FK's Anton Bergren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adrian Dalberg. That made the score 1-2 after 97 minutes of play. The Vännäsby BF manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing NovaStella FK to win.
