The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lou Moses showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Nyqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Wang Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Majman in the 5th minute of play. Wang Cheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kennet Rolfsson in the 6th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Ingvar Nyqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gärsnäs BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Timmernabben FF the free kick. Wang Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Majman in the 12th minute of play. After 12 minutes of play, Timmernabben FF's Christer Majman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wang Cheng was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 14th play minute Bo Drake came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lou Moses. 1-1. In the 20th minute, Lars Jeppesen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bo Drake kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Timmernabben FF's Lou Moses proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Timmernabben FF from getting a goal against them. Wang Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Jeppesen in the 24th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bo Drake got free with Lou Moses in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wang Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Åke Falck in the 31st minute of play. Wang Cheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Jeppesen in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Ingvar Nyqvist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lou Moses. The goal made the score 2-2. In the 41st match minute, Gärsnäs BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Drake to maneuver through the defense. Wang Cheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktor Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timmy Ahlberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Lou Moses made a huge save. In the 47th minute Bo Drake shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lou Moses saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Timmy Ahlberg made the kick off in the second half. Timmernabben FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bo Drake was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Lou Moses took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Drake, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bo Drake during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jens-Ove Danielsson's late challenge caught a Timmernabben FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jens-Ove Danielsson helped the player get up and apologised. If Timmy Ahlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Kennet Rolfsson in the 75th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gärsnäs BF's Ingvar Holm. A collision led to Timmernabben FF getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. David Groth hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Ingvar Nyqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, Bo Drake left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gärsnäs BF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2.
