The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Plan B's goal looked a bit too open when Wen Hong Qing came free, but Leif Västberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, AIK FOTBOLL's goalkeeper Arne Kilström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Folke Flink. Arne Kilström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Folke Flink in the 9th minute. After 11 minutes of play, AIK FOTBOLL's Olov Deckberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leif Västberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! John Högman's late challenge caught a AIK FOTBOLL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Högman helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Plan B getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Peter Buck hit a great ball. Ted Ström, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Leif Västberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elof Hedin, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Plan B's Folke Flink got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the game, Folke Flink was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Plan B's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AIK FOTBOLL the free kick. Elof Hedin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Plan B's Leif Västberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elof Hedin in the 32nd minute of play. AIK FOTBOLL were furious when Ted Ström was red carded, 37 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Arne Kilström had in the 39thth minute some difficulties stopping Jens Westerberg's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to AIK FOTBOLL getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Wilfred Bouma hit a great ball. The Plan B players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AIK FOTBOLL were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jens Westerberg was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Plan B's goalkeeper Leif Västberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, AIK FOTBOLL's Johan Kuse got a free kick in the 56th minute. AIK FOTBOLL's Arne Kilström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Flink in the 57th minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, AIK FOTBOLL's Elof Hedin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leif Västberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Jens Westerberg took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arne Kilström. Arne Kilström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. A collision led to Plan B getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Bennvar Nikkinen hit a great ball. In the 74th match minute, AIK FOTBOLL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilgot Brogren to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Plan B's John Högman got a free kick in the 77th minute. Leif Västberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Paulo Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leif Västberg was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Vilgot Brogren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vilgot Brogren really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 86th minute, Bennvar Nikkinen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arne Kilström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kasper Brenner, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Benne Speed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AIK FOTBOLL's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
