Hector Casse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gýmir Gryc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute Gýmir Gryc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Casse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CJ Traoré charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed CJ Traoré the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Yung Gunners FK got a freekick which was hit by CJ Traoré. Maximilian Strömbom was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julian Kisiel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rutger Beneth in the 13th minute of play forced Yung Gunners FK's goalkeeper Maximilian Strömbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Casse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from CJ Traoré, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Medelpad U21's Hector Casse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lu Kang Yi in the 19th minute of play. After 20 minutes of play, Yung Gunners FK's Yngve Sandström made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The Medelpad U21 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hector Casse should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Yung Gunners FK's Maximilian Strömbom got control of the ball when Quico Head tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hector Casse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gýmir Gryc, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lu Kang Yi in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Casse prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute, Medelpad U21's Julian Kisiel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Miguel Maria's late challenge caught a Medelpad U21's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Maria helped the player get up and apologised. Miguel Maria hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. With 46 minutes on the clock, Elias Dahlkvist commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Yung Gunners FK's Maximilian Strömbom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Yung Gunners FK from getting a goal against them.

The wind increased when Rutger Beneth made the kick off in the second half.
