Algot Ennegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tuncay Cansever in the 2nd minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Tuncay Cansever left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Degerfors IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a little luck, Degerfors IF's Håkan Söderberg got control of the ball when Ove Hellström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Håkan Söderberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörgen Magnusson in the 12th minute of play. After the first half Degerfors IF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Linghed Angels FC's zone, Tuncay Cansever stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Algot Ennegren came out of the goal and Tuncay Cansever tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Linghed Angels FC's Algot Ennegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuncay Cansever in the 90th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jörgen Magnusson during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Linghed Angels FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jörgen Magnusson hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Degerfors IF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
