The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Lekparken FC's Tomas Wallander got a free kick in the 3rd minute. With a little luck, Lekparken FC's August Sörman got control of the ball when Tor Ahlbom tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Tor Ahlbom could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which August Sörman however easily saved by the left post. After taking down the ball on Sundborn IF's corner Staffan Albäck fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and August Sörman quite easily take care of the ball. Tor Ahlbom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but August Sörman made a huge save. 24 minutes into the match, Sundborn IF's Tor Ahlbom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that August Sörman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. August Sörman made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Karl Arhenius sent off a good shot on target. Holger Joensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Karl Arhenius, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 36 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The August Sörman was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tor Ahlbom in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg August Sörman saved Lekparken FC from getting behind. In the 40th minute Holger Joensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Hasund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Lindmark hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Tor Ahlbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without August Sörman having to interfere. When Karl Arhenius came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Sundborn IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Arhenius couldn't finish the play. After 47 minutes, Antonio Rudi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lekparken FC and the Sundborn IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sundborn IF booed when Lekparken FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Rudi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Karl Arhenius made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Tor Ahlbom ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. August Sörman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. August Sörman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor Ahlbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Olov Gunnarsson's late challenge caught a Sundborn IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olov Gunnarsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes Lekparken FC got a freekick which was hit by Olov Gunnarsson. The audience was convinced that Karl Arhenius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but August Sörman was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Lekparken FC's August Sörman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tor Ahlbom in the 58th minute of play. Sundborn IF's Josef Blomqvist was substituted for Sebastian Göransson. 63 minutes into the game, one of Lekparken FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Sundborn IF a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Staffan Albäck, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lekparken FC's August Sörman. 2-0. Lekparken FC's August Sörman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tor Ahlbom in the 69th minute of play. Sonny Brandt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Hans Hasund made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Lekparken FC's zone, Tor Ahlbom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. August Sörman came out of the goal and Tor Ahlbom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. August Sörman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tor Ahlbom in the 74th minute of the match. After 76 minutes, Eddie Söderberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sundborn IF and the Lekparken FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Karl Arhenius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sundborn IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Arhenius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. August Sörman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. August Sörman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Arhenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
