Spectators: 155 (Terracing: 119, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute, Viorel Aluneanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute Iustin Potra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Mortu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Avram Zăvoiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scheia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vama Veche ™ the free kick. The supporters of Vama Veche ™ booed when Scheia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avram Zăvoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Scheia defense, Iustin Potra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernest Mortu. The Scheia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernest Mortu should have stopped the shot. In the 12th minute, Iacob Ponta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iurie Negrescu charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iurie Negrescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ernest Mortu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Șerban Ciociu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Scheia's goal looked a bit too open when Șerban Ciociu came free, but Ernest Mortu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernest Mortu came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Vama Veche ™'s Șerban Ciociu. But to his dismay, Șerban Ciociu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ernest Mortu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Potra in the 31st minute of play. Ioan Dragotescu's late challenge caught a Scheia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ioan Dragotescu helped the player get up and apologised. 42 minutes into the match, Scheia's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Potra came free, but Ernest Mortu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernest Mortu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Șerban Ciociu, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viorel Aluneanu to make the kick off. Ernest Mortu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Șerban Ciociu in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Scheia's zone, Șerban Ciociu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernest Mortu came out of the goal and Șerban Ciociu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Șerban Ciociu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ernest Mortu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Șerban Ciociu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Ernest Mortu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th minute, Vama Veche ™'s Iurie Negrescu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Iurie Negrescu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vama Veche ™ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Iurie Negrescu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vama Veche ™ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! Ivan Strugure made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viorel Aluneanu in the 75th minute of play. If Victor Curăreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute Iustin Potra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Mortu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dinu Cotuțiu's late challenge caught a Scheia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dinu Cotuțiu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd minute, Dinu Cotuțiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iustin Potra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Ionică Ţopescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
