Spectators: 162 (Terracing: 122, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Basarab Arotăriței kicked off to start the match. Dacian Iurea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Octav Mergea in the 2nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Augustin Nechifor managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Steaua Pildesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Augustin Nechifor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dacian Iurea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Berea Luca in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavian Bogdănescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to FC Steaua Pildesti getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Octav Mergea hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, Costin Iorgu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basarab Arotăriței recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Steaua Pildesti's Gheorghe Vlăsiu got a free kick in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Arotăriței in the 18th minute of play forced FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Octavian Bogdănescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olimpiu Tapalagă scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Octavian Bogdănescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute Basarab Arotăriței shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Bogdănescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Basarab Arotăriței ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Octavian Bogdănescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 38 minutes into the match, FC Berea's goal looked a bit too open when Rareș Ficsinescu came free, but Dacian Iurea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute FC Steaua Pildesti were awarded a corner. Augustin Nechifor went to the cornerflag to take it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Augustin Nechifor made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match FC Steaua Pildesti got a corner. FC Berea's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Augustin Nechifor ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Augustin Nechifor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Berea's Dacian Iurea did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Traian Roşu during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th minute, Traian Roşu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octavian Bogdănescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berea Luca in the 61st minute of play. In the 66thth minute of the game Augustin Nechifor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Berea's Dacian Iurea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Augustin Nechifor managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Steaua Pildesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Augustin Nechifor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dacian Iurea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eric Dărmănescu hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Dacian Iurea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octav Mergea, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After 78 played minutes FC Steaua Pildesti got a freekick which was hit by Gheorghe Vlăsiu. Berea Luca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Berea Matei fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Berea's protests and gave Berea Matei a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Berea Matei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Berea's Dacian Iurea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Mergea in the 95th minute of play. The FC Steaua Pildesti supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Berea's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Berea.
