Cezar Barboni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgar Basarab went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. FC ciufulici's Cezar Barboni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Măgureanu in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Andrei Macarie notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC ciufulici's Cezar Barboni. Cezar Barboni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ştefan Măgureanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Cezar Barboni came out of the goal and Andrei Macarie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, Steaua Bucuresti -MM-'s goalkeeper Emil Frânculescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolae Iorgulescu. Cezar Barboni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costel Drăgan in the 44th minute of the match. In the 47th minute Ştefan Măgureanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cezar Barboni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Steaua Bucuresti -MM- were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Irinel Țâpu hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. With a little luck, FC ciufulici's Cezar Barboni got control of the ball when Andrei Macarie tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Ştefan Măgureanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cezar Barboni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ştefan Măgureanu in the 67th minute. Cezar Barboni was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Costel Drăgan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-7 in the 68 minute of play. After 75 played minutes Steaua Bucuresti -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Mustăcilă.
