In the 8th minute, Stelian Neagu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Strugure got free with Ciprian Barboni in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stelian Neagu hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Flavius Amarandei got a free kick in the 12th minute. The audience was convinced that Robert Holban's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiberiu Mischie was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 21st minute Cristi Aaxiniei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiberiu Mischie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Codreanu in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Tiberiu Mischie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moise Antoniu kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 26 played minutes, FC Luck's Doru Lobonț shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tiberiu Mischie came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Luck reached it. Teodor Lucaci received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ciprian Barboni came out and tried to block the shot, but Teodor Lucaci slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 27th minute. FC Luck's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Teodor Lucaci 36 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Marcel Bogdan kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, FC Politehnica Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moise Antoniu to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Robert Holban had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiberiu Mischie. FC Politehnica Timisoara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robert Holban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robert Holban to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristi Aaxiniei received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tiberiu Mischie came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristi Aaxiniei slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 51st minute. A collision led to FC Politehnica Timisoara getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Nicu Isăilă hit a great ball. Ernest Eftimescu hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Doru Lobonț got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiberiu Mischie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Holban in the 78th minute. Tiberiu Mischie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandu Irimia in the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Tiberiu Mischie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert Holban. In the 86th minute Robert Holban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiberiu Mischie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Codreanu kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After some careless play in the FC Luck defense, Lucrețiu Manolache kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciprian Barboni. The FC Luck fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciprian Barboni should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Politehnica Timisoara fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Luck had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
