Costel Pintilie hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute Andrei Victor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Pacurar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 5 minutes, Robert Crașovan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Ruscova and the Ponita SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ponita SC booed when FC Ruscova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Crașovan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horia Doloman hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Florin Pacurar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrei Victor in the 12th minute of the match. Niculae Andronescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costel Pintilie, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Țepeneag in the 16th minute of play forced Ponita SC's goalkeeper Florin Pacurar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florin Pacurar came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Ruscova's Aurelian Bărcăuan. But to his dismay, Aurelian Bărcăuan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Marian Rada ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florin Pacurar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 26 minutes into the match, Ponita SC's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Victor came free, but Florin Pacurar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Juverdeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Niculae Andronescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Țepeneag in the 29th minute of play forced Ponita SC's goalkeeper Florin Pacurar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrei Grozăvescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Florin Pacurar. Ponita SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Anton Țepeneag hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Țepeneag in the 37th minute of play forced Ponita SC's goalkeeper Florin Pacurar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Marian Rada made a precise shot to the right of Florin Pacurar. Ponita SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Florin Pacurar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iulian Ganea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrei Victor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Ponita SC's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Victor came free, but Florin Pacurar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrei Victor took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florin Pacurar. Florin Pacurar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. With an all-out effort, FC Ruscova's Florin Pacurar threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andrei Victor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 57 minutes into the match, Ponita SC's goalkeeper Florin Pacurar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anton Țepeneag. Marian Rada took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florin Pacurar. Florin Pacurar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Florin Pacurar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucian Neagoe in the 62nd minute of the match. Ponita SC's Florin Pacurar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrei Victor in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute of the match, Marian Rada tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Florin Pacurar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 66th match minute, Ponita SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marian Danciu to maneuver through the defense. Florin Pacurar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anton Țepeneag in the 70th minute. Florin Pacurar made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Anton Țepeneag sent off a good shot on target. Marian Danciu's late challenge caught a FC Ruscova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian Danciu helped the player get up and apologised. After 78 played minutes Ponita SC got a freekick which was hit by Marian Danciu. Florin Pacurar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Rada, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Andrei Victor took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Florin Pacurar to make any attempt to save it. When the match was over FC Ruscova could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ponita SC throughout the match.
