Spectators: 162 (Terracing: 122, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Calistrat Şerbănescu took the kick off in the first half of the match. 8 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Răcănel came free, but Vlad Covrig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Eric Astafei got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When RED BLUE STAR's Albert Panaitoiu in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 16th minute of play forced RED BLUE STAR's goalkeeper Damian Tender to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Tiberiu Rotariu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narcis Voiculescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. RED BLUE STAR's Damian Tender proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save RED BLUE STAR from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, RED BLUE STAR's Damian Tender got control of the ball when Damian Cârlan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebastian Istodor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Damian Tender. RED BLUE STAR's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Calistrat Şerbănescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Tender read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Sebastian Istodor dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Damian Tender, 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Damian Tender showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Cârlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by RED BLUE STAR's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sebastian Istodor was slow to take the kick. During this time PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's players had a chance to rest. The corner led PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Sebastian Istodor to fire away a dangerous shot which Damian Tender despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Ferdinand Pociu fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RED BLUE STAR's protests and gave Ferdinand Pociu a yellow card for diving instead. Ferdinand Pociu kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Istodor. Damian Tender stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damian Cârlan's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Albert Panaitoiu hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Damian Tender showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calistrat Şerbănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 76 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Calistrat Şerbănescu. The supporters of RED BLUE STAR booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Cârlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Vlad Covrig got control of the ball when Albert Panaitoiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Calistrat Şerbănescu made a precise shot to the right of Damian Tender. RED BLUE STAR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca had played much better football throughout.
