Cristian Minteuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cazimir Zăraşcu in the 6th minute of the match. PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's Cristian Minteuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Vâlcu in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Șerban Milea hit a great ball. Sergiu Angheluță was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tudor Otopeanu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. Sergiu Angheluță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavel Codin in the 22nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's Nicu Miniș got a free kick in the 27th minute. Cristian Minteuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Vâlcu in the 30th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Pavel Codin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sergiu Angheluță. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. Pavel Codin scored 3-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sergiu Angheluță, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the game, one of Champions Iasi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tudor Otopeanu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Champions Iasi's Sergiu Angheluță. 4-0. Nicu Miniș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pavel Codin made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Tudor Otopeanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sergiu Angheluță. Champions Iasi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tudor Otopeanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Sergiu Angheluță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Otopeanu in the 58th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Pavel Codin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergiu Angheluță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergiu Angheluță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudor Otopeanu in the 77th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Marin Albescu. In the 82nd minute, George Vâlcu had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ionuț Alucai during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Ionuț Alucai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Tudor Otopeanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sergiu Angheluță. Champions Iasi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tudor Otopeanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. After having played for 88 minutes, Nicu Miniș managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicu Miniș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN booed when Champions Iasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cazimir Zăraşcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nichifor Druță took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sergiu Angheluță. Champions Iasi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Tudor Otopeanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sergiu Angheluță. Champions Iasi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tudor Otopeanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN fully deserved thier win.
