The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, ASF BAIA MARE -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucrețiu Arotăriței to maneuver through the defense. Marcel Chiriță didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rareș Papadima went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 18th minute Tudor Bodea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Chiriță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Petrică Ţirpescu sped through ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcel Chiriță. Marcel Chiriță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Bodea in the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tudor Bodea in the 28th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Marcel Chiriță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Chiriță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Bodea in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Unicorns ™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calistrat Mihalcea to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Tudor Bodea notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Marcel Chiriță. Marcel Chiriță was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Maxim Rioşanu got a free kick in the 46th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rareș Papadima in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Chiriță saved ASF BAIA MARE -MM- from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tudor Bodea made a kick off. Marcel Chiriță made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tudor Bodea in the 51st minute. Steve Deckkers took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Corneliu Vulpăşin. Corneliu Vulpăşin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Marcel Chiriță made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petrică Ţirpescu in the 58th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Tudor Bodea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unicorns ™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Tudor Bodea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tudor Bodea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Marcel Chiriță made a huge save. Marcel Chiriță made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Petrică Ţirpescu sent off a good shot on target. Rareș Papadima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Chiriță having to interfere. Corneliu Vulpăşin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steve Deckkers went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. 73 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Steve Deckkers came free, but Corneliu Vulpăşin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corneliu Vulpăşin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucrețiu Arotăriței, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Marcel Chiriță made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Tudor Bodea sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th match minute, ASF BAIA MARE -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Călin Tache to maneuver through the defense. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Marcel Chiriță proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save ASF BAIA MARE -MM- from getting a goal against them. Corneliu Vulpăşin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Deckkers in the 91st minute of the match. Petrică Ţirpescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Chiriță having to interfere.
