When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mugur Gorcea sped through AFC Nirosxn 08's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emil Lunca. Mugur Gorcea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emil Lunca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Tiberiu in the 8th minute of the match. Petruț Ţopescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Radovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Delphine Stars booed when AFC Nirosxn 08 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Toma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcel Cristache took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emil Lunca. AFC Nirosxn 08's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nicodim Mitrofan hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute of the match Marcel Cristache shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emil Lunca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 20th minute, Ivan Baniu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petruț Ţopescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Emil Lunca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Tiberiu in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Gorcea in the 32nd minute of play forced AFC Nirosxn 08's goalkeeper Emil Lunca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AFC Nirosxn 08 getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Romeo Toma hit a great ball. If Ivan Baniu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mugur Gorcea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nae Josan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petruț Ţopescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, AFC Nirosxn 08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nae Josan to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 92nd minute of the match Marcel Cristache sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emil Lunca skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudiu Radovan during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Claudiu Radovan hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Delphine Stars players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
