Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Nistor Zbârlea hit a great ball. Iacob Vătăşel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avram Valerian in the 6th minute of the match. Ilie Armeanca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Iacob Vătăşel made a huge save. 12 minutes into the match, Juventus Țiu's goal looked a bit too open when Calistrat Baicea came free, but Marius Bălașa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Juventus Țiu's goal looked a bit too open when Gelu Penciulescu came free, but Marius Bălașa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sabin Nicolae came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Juventus Țiu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sabin Nicolae couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Juventus Țiu defense, Dacian Cernea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marius Bălașa. The Juventus Țiu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marius Bălașa should have stopped the shot. When Mugurel Buda fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Juventus Țiu's protests and gave Mugurel Buda a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, Juventus Țiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugurel Buda to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Dacian Cernea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marius Bălașa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Dacian Cernea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Marius Bălașa made a huge save. 70 minutes into the game, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Calistrat Baicea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marius Bălașa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 74th minute, Dacian Cernea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After a rather tough play, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Gigel Hogaș got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 84th match minute, Juventus Țiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihail Ignătoiu to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Gigel Hogaș in the 84th minute really tested Marius Bălașa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 86 played minutes, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Nistor Zbârlea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marius Bălașa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely reached it. Marius Bălașa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Frumuzache, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Marius Bălașa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calistrat Baicea in the 97th minute of the match.
