Francisc Firoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dumitru Bogătean in the 12th minute of the match. After 13 minutes The Owls's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dumitru Bogătean who took care of the corner kick. The corner led GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Dumitru Bogătean to fire away a dangerous shot which Francisc Firoiu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Francisc Firoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Bogătean in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Alexandru Coporan made a precise shot to the right of Luca Brădescu. GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Luca Brădescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marin Alucai, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iulian Pordea got free with Luca Brădescu in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dinu Slicaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisc Firoiu having to interfere. After 31 played minutes The Owls got a freekick which was hit by Iulian Pordea. In the 31st minute of the match Dumitru Bogătean sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisc Firoiu skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Iulian Pordea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luca Brădescu. That made the score 4-0 in the 33 minute of play. With a little luck, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Luca Brădescu got control of the ball when Alexandru Coporan tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinu Slicaru in the 40th minute of play forced The Owls's goalkeeper Francisc Firoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Dumitru Bogătean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Owls the free kick. Dumitru Bogătean hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iulian Pordea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Iulian Pordea fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Owls's protests and gave Iulian Pordea a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cornel Gabor during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Cornel Gabor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iulian Pordea in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luca Brădescu saved GoooooooooooooooooooooooL from getting behind. In the 59th minute Marin Alucai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luca Brădescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Brădescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marin Alucai went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinu Slicaru got free with Francisc Firoiu in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Owls's Francisc Firoiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save The Owls from getting a goal against them. If Fabian Isăcescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Luca Brădescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iulian Pordea in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The The Owls fans cheered their team off the field, for while GoooooooooooooooooooooooL had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
