Jörgen Skoog lost his temper 8 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 9 played minutes UFC Veseud got a freekick which was hit by Jörgen Skoog. Mugur Zdrenghea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Avacariței in the 10th minute of the match. UFC Veseud's Gualterio Peter suffered a torn muscle in his knee after 11 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albert Avacariței during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Buzău getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Albert Avacariței hit a great ball. Aurelian Gologan struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Ciprian Ghioane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UFC Veseud. Mugur Zdrenghea made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Mihail Gherdan sent off a good shot on target. Ciprian Ghioane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelian Gologan, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 30 minutes FC Buzău's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Braica who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Dorel Dăscălescu managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. UFC Veseud's Mugur Zdrenghea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihail Gherdan in the 35th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tudor Stancu during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to UFC Veseud getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Mugur Ciocan hit a great ball. In the 47th minute of the match, Albert Avacariței tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mugur Zdrenghea saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pompiliu Balaban to make the kick off. Mihail Gherdan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. UFC Veseud's Mugur Zdrenghea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pompiliu Balaban in the 54th minute of play. When Tudor Stancu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Balaban in the 63rd minute of play forced UFC Veseud's goalkeeper Mugur Zdrenghea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute Pompiliu Balaban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Zdrenghea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute of the match FC Buzău got a corner. UFC Veseud's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mihail Gherdan ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 74th match minute, FC Buzău was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doru Baldu to maneuver through the defense. Aurelian Gologan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ciprian Ghioane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiger Woods sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Albert Avacariței shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Zdrenghea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Avacariței in the 92nd minute of play forced UFC Veseud's goalkeeper Mugur Zdrenghea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiger Woods got free with Ciprian Ghioane in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 95 played minutes UFC Veseud got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Ciocan. Mihail Gherdan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
