Doru Baldu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Carpathians booed when FC Buzău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doru Baldu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, FC Buzău's Ciprian Ghioane got control of the ball when Constantin Cârstea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mihail Gherdan went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Mihail Gherdan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Carpathians's Basarab Pârcălab did a great save. After 89 played minutes FC Buzău got a freekick which was hit by Mihail Gherdan. Ciprian Ghioane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorin Petrică in the 90th minute of play. In the 95th minute Bruno Gotti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciprian Ghioane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Carpathians supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Buzău's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Buzău.
