In the 3rdth minute of the game Best Tek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 5th match minute, F.C. YKE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavel Soare to maneuver through the defense. F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Best Tek in the 7th minute of play. If Cornel Surdilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Best Tek in the 19th minute of play forced F.C. YKE's goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th match minute, F.C. YKE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavel Soare to maneuver through the defense. F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Best Tek in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Avram Chiru got free with Leontin Ilieș in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Best Tek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Helmuth Duckadam read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Best Tek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Helmuth Duckadam. F.C. YKE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Best Tek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 35 minutes into the game, Pavel Soare threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Sabin Bojonca quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 35th minute Szczepan Barycz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmuth Duckadam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leontin Ilieș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Lunca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leontin Ilieș was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Avram Chiru showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 46 minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Best Tek to make the kick off. Nicolae Stanciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Best Tek made in the 57th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Rilind Mena immediately put the ball in play. In the 59th minute, Best Tek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Best Tek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helmuth Duckadam having to interfere. Leontin Ilieș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avram Chiru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cornel Surdilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Helmuth Duckadam was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Best Tek capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Best Tek really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Cazimir Puișoru kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, F.C. YKE's Nicolae Stanciu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leontin Ilieș made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. 86 minutes into the game, Best Tek recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Helmuth Duckadam. Best Tek showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. After 90 played minutes F.C. YKE got a freekick which was hit by Lucrețiu Culiță. Cornel Surdilă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Helmuth Duckadam made a huge save. The F.C. YKE supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ninjas in Pyjamas's performance. The match ended with a win for Ninjas in Pyjamas.
