After a rather tough play, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Rudolf Magnusson got a free kick in the 6th minute. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cédric Payen in the 9th minute of play. Helmuth Duckadam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cédric Payen in the 12th minute of the match. F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Podgoreanu in the 13th minute of play. Sergiu Cobâlcescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avram Chiru, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Cédric Payen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Helmuth Duckadam made a huge save. Emanuel Şimoc's late challenge caught a Minerul Baita -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Şimoc helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, F.C. YKE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Şimoc to maneuver through the defense. When Cédric Payen came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Minerul Baita -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cédric Payen couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the F.C. YKE defense, Codruț Podgoreanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Helmuth Duckadam. The F.C. YKE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Helmuth Duckadam should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cédric Payen in the 32nd minute of play forced F.C. YKE's goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Podgoreanu in the 39th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Avram Chiru in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sergiu Cobâlcescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. F.C. Helmuth Duckadam made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Cédric Payen sent off a good shot on target. Sergiu Cobâlcescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avram Chiru in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Cédric Payen made the kick off in the second half. Dudu Georgescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helmuth Duckadam having to interfere. Constantin Buzea hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cédric Payen in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Cédric Payen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmuth Duckadam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to F.C. In the 66thth minute of the game Dudu Georgescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mons Vallestad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 71st minute, Pavel Soare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Minerul Baita -MM- made a substitution. Mo Yin Wen replaced Vintilă Puișoru.
