After 14 played minutes Muget got a freekick which was hit by Nistor Beșliu. Thanks to some nice moves Victor Angheluș could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Gigel Petrean however easily saved by the left post. If Radu Măliță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Muget's goalkeeper Gigel Petrean had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albert Dășanu. After 25 minutes, Claudiu Râznicu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emerald and the Muget players grew even worse after the yellow card. 27 minutes into the match, Muget's Costin Piț sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damian Vieru narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gigel Petrean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isac Manciulescu in the 29th minute of the match. Gigel Petrean made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Angheluș in the 30th minute. Gigel Petrean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Dășanu in the 37th minute of play. Damian Vieru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Piț in the 40th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Muget got a freekick which was hit by Nistor Beșliu. Gigel Petrean was a little too slow when Marin Bârza got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 3-0.

The wind increased when Radu Măliță made the kick off in the second half. Radu Măliță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Vieru having to interfere. Damian Vieru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Beșliu in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute, Ştefan Cenușă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isac Manciulescu in the 65th minute of play forced Muget's goalkeeper Gigel Petrean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Victor Angheluș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the game, Irinel Oros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Muget's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Emerald the free kick. The supporters of Emerald booed when Muget was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irinel Oros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costin Piț could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Damian Vieru made a huge save. In the 81st minute Albert Dășanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Petrean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, Muget was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcu Cenușă to maneuver through the defense. After 91 played minutes Emerald got a freekick which was hit by Claudiu Râznicu. 95 minutes into the match, Muget's goal looked a bit too open when Isac Manciulescu came free, but Gigel Petrean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emerald's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
