In the 8thth minute of the game Horea Cenușă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Muget were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after F.C. YKE's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emil Cenușă took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Emil Cenușă got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Helmuth Duckadam quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Muget getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Nistor Beșliu hit a great ball. The supporters of Muget booed when F.C. YKE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marin Zbuchea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emil Cenușă kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Radu Măliță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th match minute, Muget was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irinel Oros to maneuver through the defense. Gigel Petrean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Zbuchea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gigel Petrean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marin Zbuchea, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Helmuth Duckadam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radu Măliță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Helmuth Duckadam made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Horea Cenușă sent off a good shot on target. After 34 minutes F.C. YKE's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emil Cenușă who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Muget's Costin Piț getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After a rather tough play, Muget's Costin Piț got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. YKE's goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 57 played minutes Muget got a freekick which was hit by Horea Cenușă. 66 minutes into the game, Irinel Oros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Muget's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. YKE the free kick. In the 66th match minute, Muget was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irinel Oros to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, F.C. YKE's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Beșliu came free, but Helmuth Duckadam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 minutes of play, Muget's Nistor Beșliu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Helmuth Duckadam was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cătălin Crașovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horea Cenușă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Helmuth Duckadam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, F.C. YKE's Dinu Frâncu got a free kick in the 84th minute. Costin Piț scored 2-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Helmuth Duckadam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Costin Piț recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
