After 5 played minutes Królewscy z Gdyni got a freekick which was hit by Igor Kisielka. If Herbert Cwenar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Królewscy z Gdyni's Andrzej Sadlowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Królewscy z Gdyni from getting a goal against them. Kryspin Banan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Olchowy in the 20th minute of the match. Olgierd Moryl might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrzej Sadlowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olgierd Moryl ran back to his position shaking his head. After 25 minutes, Igor Kisielka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Królewscy z Gdyni and the Pogoń Szczecin players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, Igor Kisielka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrzej Sadlowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leon Wnukowski's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Igor Kisielka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Kryspin Banan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute Leon Wnukowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrzej Sadlowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Pogoń Szczecin's Andrzej Sadlowski threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Olgierd Moryl, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Andrzej Sadlowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Cwenar in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Leon Wnukowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pogoń Szczecin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Wnukowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leon Wnukowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Herbert Cwenar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Pogoń Szczecin booed when Królewscy z Gdyni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patryk Cwynar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leon Wiatrak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Andrzej Sadlowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Wnukowski in the 54th minute of play. Andrzej Sadlowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janusz Prokowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Igor Kisielka got his second yellow card in the match during the 62nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Królewscy z Gdyni's Igor Kisielka got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Andrzej Sadlowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olgierd Moryl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Olchowy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Pogoń Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Olchowy came free, but Kryspin Banan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Beniamin Bojanowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Andrzej Sadlowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrzej Skwira during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pogoń Szczecin's Maksymilian Puzio got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pogoń Szczecin's Herbert Cwenar got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrzej Sadlowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beniamin Bojanowski in the 85th minute of the match. When Daniel Olchowy fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Królewscy z Gdyni's protests and gave Daniel Olchowy a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Królewscy z Gdyni got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Olchowy. Andrzej Sadlowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Wnukowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. There was no doubt that Pogoń Szczecin were the better team. Pogoń Szczecin's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
