The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Expedition Lubin getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Expedition Lubin's Boruc Zdrojowy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbigniew Galagan in the 24th minute of play. In the 25thth minute of the game Zbigniew Galagan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Expedition Lubin's Boruc Zdrojowy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bogdan Murdza kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ulryk Dynda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpia HSB's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulryk Dynda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boruc Zdrojowy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Expedition Lubin's Wawrzyniec Betonowy got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulryk Dynda in the 29th minute of play forced Expedition Lubin's goalkeeper Boruc Zdrojowy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Olimpia HSB's zone, Grzegorz Raschke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kacper Ciszewski came out of the goal and Grzegorz Raschke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boruc Zdrojowy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucjan Orling in the 33rd minute of the match. Boruc Zdrojowy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbigniew Galagan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bogdan Murdza was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 37 minutes had been played. In the 40th minute of the match Olimpia HSB got a corner. Expedition Lubin's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zbigniew Galagan ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Olimpia HSB's corner Zbigniew Galagan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Boruc Zdrojowy quite easily take care of the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Konrad Puch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olimpia HSB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konrad Puch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Lucjan Orling struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Boruc Zdrojowy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olimpia HSB. After 63rd play minutes Zbigniew Galagan shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Boruc Zdrojowy and just under the crossbar into goal. Olimpia HSB made a substitution. Marek Sitko replaced Ulryk Dynda. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbigniew Galagan in the 69th minute of play forced Expedition Lubin's goalkeeper Boruc Zdrojowy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Olimpia HSB's Zbigniew Galagan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Boruc Zdrojowy. Boruc Zdrojowy yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. The supporters of Expedition Lubin booed when Olimpia HSB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mieszko Mocko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zbigniew Galagan in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boruc Zdrojowy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Boruc Zdrojowy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marek Sitko's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute, Walery Cempa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zbigniew Galagan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boruc Zdrojowy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Olimpia HSB's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
