In the 6th minute Xilo Cortada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wit Kasperowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute of the match, Xilo Cortada tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wit Kasperowicz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ubaldo Lluterio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikolaj Budzynski, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The corner led KS LEW Chorzów's Wieslaw Maziarski to fire away a dangerous shot which Ubaldo Lluterio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mikolaj Budzynski struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ubaldo Lluterio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KS LEW Chorzów. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Purple Shadows's goalkeeper Ubaldo Lluterio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stefan Karwowski hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Wit Kasperowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xilo Cortada in the 23rd minute of the match. Wit Kasperowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Centella, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 34th minute Purple Shadows were awarded a corner. Gorom Kanø went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Purple Shadows's corner Rafettin Üner fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wit Kasperowicz quite easily take care of the ball. Purple Shadows's Ubaldo Lluterio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikolaj Budzynski in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Wieslaw Maziarski made a precise shot to the right of Ubaldo Lluterio. Purple Shadows's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mikolaj Budzynski in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ubaldo Lluterio saved Purple Shadows from getting behind. 46 minutes into the match, KS LEW Chorzów's goal looked a bit too open when Xilo Cortada came free, but Wit Kasperowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Stefan Karwowski fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KS LEW Chorzów's protests and gave Stefan Karwowski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 49th minute Purple Shadows were awarded a corner. Gorom Kanø went to the cornerflag to take it. Purple Shadows's Gorom Kanø was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wit Kasperowicz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mikolaj Budzynski to strike the kick off in the second half. Wit Kasperowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafettin Üner in the 52nd minute of the match. Beto Centella took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wit Kasperowicz. Wit Kasperowicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Wit Kasperowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gorom Kanø, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Beto Centella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KS LEW Chorzów's Wit Kasperowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xilo Cortada in the 65th minute of play. Wit Kasperowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gorom Kanø, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After a rather tough play, Purple Shadows's Konrad Wojton got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Purple Shadows's Xilo Cortada got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the KS LEW Chorzów defense, Enerik Hyka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wit Kasperowicz. The KS LEW Chorzów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wit Kasperowicz should have stopped the shot. Ludomil Harbaszewski hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Wit Kasperowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enerik Hyka in the 84th minute of the match. The supporters of KS LEW Chorzów booed when Purple Shadows was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gorom Kanø didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ubaldo Lluterio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikolaj Budzynski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gorom Kanø in the 93rd minute of play forced KS LEW Chorzów's goalkeeper Wit Kasperowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beto Centella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Wit Kasperowicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Purple Shadows were the better team. Purple Shadows's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
