The referee ignored Słodkie Cytryny's protests and gave Walery Piesciuk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute, Olgierd Chrobak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Maestro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacek Wasikowski in the 34th minute of play. FC Saxon's attentive Czeslaw Gacki managed to snatch the ball when Dariusz Kluska made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. Milosz Milko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
