In the 28th minute Ronald Breitbücher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sturle Åsland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herbert Wörmann took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sturle Åsland. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hartmut Achterberg in the 32nd minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Sturle Åsland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 minutes De Gulden Draak's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ray Man who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Åsnes's Petter Vartdal to fire away a dangerous shot which Ismail Köhler despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 38thth minute of the game Roman Bide who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but De Gulden Draak's Ismail Köhler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th minute, Jonathan Vie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of De Gulden Draak booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon-Inge Nysæter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ismail Köhler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Vie, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 53 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Rune Gjessing. Sturle Åsland was a little too slow when Thorsten Drehmann got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-2. After a rather tough play, De Gulden Draak's Ludwig Rebell got a free kick in the 64th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ellis Thierse during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 68 played minutes De Gulden Draak got a freekick which was hit by Ellis Thierse. A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Kim Alnes hit a great ball. Åsnes's Roman Bide got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ismail Köhler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Bide, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute.
